Frequently Asked Questions for Donors

Q.  Why give to Restore & Rebuild Ministries?

A. People choose to donate to Restore & Rebuild for many reasons.  You might choose to give to Restore & Rebuild because:

  • You have a heart for helping hurting people.
  • You believe in the importance of counseling for mental, emotional and relational health.
  • You understand how hard it is for pastors to pour into their church members and still have healthy marriage and family relationships, and you want to support them.
  • You know that therapy in San Diego County can cost over $200 a session -- and you want to empower people who can afford only $20 a session to still receive quality care.
  • You want to support a group of Christian counselors.
  • Or maybe you know us personally and believe in the work we do.

Q.  Is my donation tax-deductible?

A.  Yes.  Restore & Rebuild is a DBA of Break Thru Ministries, a 501(c)(3) organization located in Los Alamitos, CA.  Donations made to Restore & Rebuild are tax-deductible.

Q.  Will I receive receipts?

A.  Yes, all donors will receive receipts at the end of each calendar year, that show all donations for the previous year.

Q.  Does Restore & Rebuild share donors' information?

A.  No, Restore & Rebuild Ministries does not rent, sell, or give donor information to any other entity.

Q.  How do I set up an automatic monthly donation?

A.  When you click on the "Donate" button, you will be asked if you would like to make a recurring monthly donation.  To do this, you will need a PayPal account.  If you don't have one already, you will be guided through how to set up a PayPal account and give a set donation every month.

Q.  How do I give a one-time gift?

A.  Click on the "Donate" button and follow the directions to give a one-time gift through PayPal. You can use any major credit card to do this, and do not need to have a PayPal account. To give via check, mail your check to our Mailing Address at the bottom of this page.

Q.  If I already have an automatic monthly donation, how do I make changes to it?

A.  To make changes to your recurring donation, first go to your PayPal account and cancel your current recurring donation. Then go to our Donate page, click on the "Donate" button, and follow the instructions to set up a new recurring donation.

Q.  I received a notice that my automatic monthly donation is no longer going through on my credit card?  How do I update my credit card for my donations?

A.  To update your credit card for your automatic monthly donation, log into your PayPal account that is generating the recurring donations.  Follow the instructions there to update the credit card linked to your PayPal account.
